Lay down in style: MAN Daybed lounger by NORR11
Simple and elegant - the MAN Daybed lounger is upholstered in high-quality leather and sits on a stainless steel frame. In addition, there is a cylindrical cushion that additionally increases the comfort of lying down and supports the head.
The MAN collection was inspired by the Danish furniture design of the 1950s and 60s. At that time, the Bauhaus style was highly topical in Denmark and thus the series is characterised by simple and clean forms as well as minimalist detailing. The metal frame as a recurring element clearly defines the construction of the entire collection.
Designteam Krøjgaard + Humlevik
Rune Krøjgaard graduated in design and industrial design from the Royal Danish Academy Of Fine Arts. His designs are characterised by a high understanding of materials and their properties as well as forms and dimensions of a body. His Nordic roots and the connection to classical Scandinavian traditions are also evident in his work. He has been working closely with the Norwegian designer Knut Bendik Humlevik since 2007. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the School of Architecture in Copenhagen. Humlevik's interest in the totality and dynamics of designs and creations is great. Together, the two designers create products that are characterised by functionality and purity of style. Key words in their collaboration are simplicity, aesthetics and comfort.
NORR11 – Scandinavian Design
The Danish furniture manufacturer NORR11 was founded in 2011. The company's focus is to redefine and rethink the understanding of Scandinavian design and thus create timeless pieces of furniture that combine the present and the past. This goal is achieved through collaboration with innovative young designers. This results in products of outstanding craftsmanship and quality.
Material and size
The frame of the MAN Daybed lounger is made of 100% metal. The seat and backrest are covered with leather. It is 202 cm wide, 85 cm deep and 30 cm high. The cylindrical cushion is 83 cm wide and measures 16 cm in diameter.
