Description
Classic: Mammoth Chair armchair fabric cover by NORR11
Elegant lines, sweeping cur ves and an expressionist look - this classic chair should not be missing in any home where design is important. Its expansive forms aroused the designers Knut Bendik Humlevik and Rune Krøjgaard's association with a proud mammoth - hence the promising name Mammoth Chair.
Its design is based on the American home furniture design of the 50s, which speaks for an upscale living culture. This is how you bring an enchanting retro charm into your home. The expansive cushions and shapes of the seat and back create a great seating comfort.
"Functionality is a key factor for me and can never be ignored. So if I can achieve pure style and functionality in a product, I'm happy." - Knut Bendik Humlevik
Design Team Krøjgaard + Humlevik
Rune Krøjgaard graduated in design and industrial design from the Royal Danish Academy Of Fine Arts. His designs are characterised by a high understanding of materials and their properties as well as the shapes and dimensions of a body. His Nordic roots and attachment to classical Scandinavian traditions are also evident in his work. He has been working closely with the Norwegian designer Knut Bendik Humlevik since 2007. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the School of Architecture in Copenhagen. Humlevik's interest in the totality and dynamics of designs and creations is great. Together, the two designers create products that are characterised by functionality and purity of style. Key words in their collaboration are simplicity, aesthetics and comfort.
