Important designer of the 60s: Herbert Hirche
If you look at the design works of Herbert Hirche, you may hardly believe that some of these modern pieces of furniture were already designed many decades ago. The Lounge Chair, for example, dates back to 1953! After an apprenticeship as a carpenter at the Bauhaus in Dessau and Berlin, where Hirche studied under Mies van der Rohe from 1930 to 1933, Hirche worked as a freelance architect and designer. Hirche is one of the most important architects and designers of the 1950s and 1960s. With the new edition of these classics, Richard Lampert contributes to the immortality of designers like Herbert Hirche. Hirche's lounge chair went into series production for the first time at Richard Lampert in 2000.
Richard Lampert: Design made in Germany
In 1993, Richard Lampert founded his company in Stuttgart with the aim of industrially producing furniture and everyday objects that combine quality craftsmanship, design and sustainability. Richard Lampert's collections cover a wide range of areas, from outdoor furniture to living space and office furniture. Well-known designers such as Egon Eiermann and Herbert Hirche stand alongside unconventional and lesser-known international designers.
Material and format
The cover of the Richard Lampert Lounge Chair Set is made of cowhide. You have the choice between brown-white and black-white. You can combine the powder-coated and outdoor-resistant tubular steel frame with it in chrome, dark bronze, basalt grey RAL 7012 or in white RAL 9010.
The armchair is 80 cm deep, the seat is 57 cm x 57 cm, the height at the front of the backward sloping cushion is 34 cm, the seat height is 24 cm.
