The SAS Royal Hotel went directly to Space Copenhagen founders Signe and Peter to have an armchair designed that perfectly complements the hotel furniture. The loafer is very elegant and creates a sense of intimacy in open spaces such as hotel lobbies.
Design Studio Space Copenhagen
Space Copenhagen was founded in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou. The design studio works in various disciplines; in addition to furniture and lighting, they also design art installations of all kinds as well as interior design for private homes, hotels and restaurants. The studio's aim is to break new ground in design, balancing opposites such as classic and modern, industrial and organic, sculptural and minimal or light and shadow.
Material and format
The Loafer armchair is made of wood, HR foam and polyester wadding. It is available with fabric or leather upholstery. It is 70 cm wide, 65 cm deep and 75 cm high. The seat height is 42 cm.
Cover material:- Canvas: 90% virgin wool (combed), 10% nylon
- Remix: 90% new wool (combed), 10% nylon
- Hallingdal: 70% new wool, 30% viscose
