The lounge chair is one of the few designs by architect Viggo Boesen that reflects the characteristic design aesthetic of 1930s Denmark. Viggo Boesen contributed significantly to the development of the Scandinavian design aesthetic in Denmark in the 1930s. His work is characterized by the Funkis style, a kind of Nordic interpretation of Art Deco. In contrast to the prevailing mass trends of the time, such as "less is more" and "Bauhaus", Boesen was already oriented towards soft and warm aspects, creating a new form of upholstered furniture of the time.Material and format
