La Marie, created by designer Philippe Starck, was the first chair in the world to be made from a single mould of transparent polycarbonate. The all-rounder scores with its ingenious combination of functional design, convincing durability and refreshing lightness. With its understated, transparent look, it can be stylishly integrated into any interior and, thanks to the robust, scratch- and impact-resistant material, the stackable design chair is also ideal for outdoor use.

Design by Philippe Starck 

The name Philippe Starck should be familiar to everyone. The exceptional French talent designed Juicy Salif, for example, probably the most famous juicer in the world for Alessi, and the famous Masters chairs and Ghost chairs from Kartell were also designed by him. Incidentally, Philippe Starck has his best ideas on an island, where he devotes himself entirely to his creativity in a rudimentarily furnished fisherman's hut.

The Italian company Kartell is one of the most dazzling brands in the world of design. The beautifully shaped products made in Milan harmonise industrial know-how and an unusual design language, which has earned the manufacturer a great reputation on the international stage. It is above all the famous plastic furniture that has already achieved cult status. 

Material and format 

The La Marie chair made of transparent polycarbonate is 38.7 cm wide, 52.5 cm deep and 87.5 cm high. The seat height is 46 cm.
