With its inviting and open shape, the Kida hanging armchair looks like a large cradle floating lightly and freely in the air. The special feature of the Kida collection: the special Dedon fibre is not woven as usual, but wound. This creates a unique design that can be admired in different colours. You can also choose between different upholstery colours to perfectly adapt this special piece of furniture to your interior style.
The Kida armchair was designed by Stephen Burks and was intended to revolutionise the hanging armchair. The armchair is more open and simple than previous designs. The designer says that if design is a passion , it flows into everything you do. This passion can also be felt in Burks' designs, creating a welcoming atmosphere that invites you to sit, rock and feel free. In 2021, KIDA therefore won the NYC X Design Award in the category "Best Outdoor Seating 2021".
Material and format
The frame is made of aluminium and wrapped in Dedon fibre . Exciting side note: Approximately 834 m of Dedon fibre is used for one Kida hanging chair. The DEDON fibre is not only extremely weatherproof and can withstand neither cold nor heat, sun, rain or snow, it is also exceptionally colourfast, structurally stable and insensitive to chlorine and salt water.
The scope of delivery includes an upholstered cushion and a stand for attachment. The armchair measures 131 cm in width, 127 cm in depth and 195 cm in height.
