A master of his trade: the Dane Poul M. Volther
The trained carpenter Poul M. Volther was personally appointed head of the FDB Møbler design studio by Børge Mogensen in 1950. His ideas for technical and design development have decisively shaped the image of the Danish manufacturer and made a major contribution to the success story of FDB Møbler. Volther's own designs are influenced by a deep understanding of craftsmanship and still inspire today with their beautifully shaped practicality. His J46 wooden kitchen chair, for example, is one of the most popular design products in the Danish furniture industry.
