Craftsmanship: BM1106 Huntsman Chair from Carl Hansen
Like from a hunting lodge - the Huntsman Chair by Carl Hansen convinces with its robust, wood-oriented design. Its rounded corners and the solid wood as a material make it particularly durable, making it suitable for frequent use.
The wooden strut between the chair legs clearly emphasises the handmade character of the design furniture. The leather used for the seat and back additionally provides a robust look and a traditional flair.
Designer of the people
Børge Mogensen is regarded as the "designer of the people" - on the one hand because of his pleasant personality and on the other because he designed high-quality furniture that was accessible to the masses.
He is one of the most influential designers of the post-war period and a leading representative of Danish Modernism. In 1950 he founded his own design studio and produced modern and useful furniture from local Nordic materials.
Material and size
The Huntsman chair is made of solid wood and is available in oak and walnut versions. The leather used is so-called saddle leather and particularly resistant. The fittings are made of stainless steel.
The corner joints of the chair legs are always in a contrasting colour to the wood of the frame. The design chair is 67 cm wide, 62 cm deep and 84 cm high. The seat height is 42.5 cm and the armrests are 68 cm high.
