Light on its feet: Hiray Outdoor Sofa by Kartell
The Italian furniture manufacturer Kartell has become famous primarily for its iconic plastic furniture. But with the green-ecological redefinition of the company, metal now also joins the ranks of the most important materials at Kartell. Following this line, the shapely Hiray outdoor collection was created in cooperation with the designer couple Ludovica and Roberto Palomba.
The Hiray sofa embodies lightness and comfort, unites in an exciting construct made of metal. It is processed according to the technique of the soldered wire, whereby the slender metal wires form a delicate connection. This creates a sweeping and in its essence simple piece of designer furniture that fits into a variety of living environments.

Designer couple Ludovica and Roberto Palomba
in 1994, the couple, known for their designs in the furniture and product sector, founded their own design studio in Milan. Ludovica and Roberto Palomba design objects that are intended to enter into a direct dialogue with the owner and create a lasting relationship. This is how created the contemporary reinterpretation of the Birdie shade lamp and innovative models, such as Gregg or the Ritual lamps.

The Italian company Kartell is one of the most dazzling brands in the world of design. The beautifully shaped products made in Milano bring industrial know-how and unusual design language into harmony, which has earned the manufacturer a great reputation on the international stage .
Material and format
Designed for outdoor use, the Hiray Sofa is made of lacquered galvanised steel and is available in four colours. For even more seating comfort, you can order the matching seat cushion in our shop.
The sofa is 121 cm wide, 68 cm deep and 67 cm high. The seat height is 32 cm, the armrest height 59 cm.
