Design team Hansen + Hyldahl
Designer Tommy Hyldahl is the founder of NORR11. He is responsible for the creative DNA of the manufacturer and so his interest in materials and production processes is evident in each and every NORR11 product. Since 2015, he has been working together with Kristian Sofus Hansen, who graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. The two designers are united by their passion for Japanese simplicity and Scandinavian tradition, which they combine in their designs to create timeless furniture.
NORR11 - Scandinavian design
Danish furniture manufacturer NORR11 was founded in 2011. The company's focus is to redefine and rethink the understanding of Scandinavian design, creating timeless pieces of furniture that combine the present and the past. This goal is achieved through collaboration with innovative young designers. This results in products of outstanding craftsmanship and quality.
Material and format
The natural frame of the Hippo lounge chair is made of solid, FSC-certified oak wood. Seat and back cushions with foam filling can be ordered with the following optional covers:
- Barnum Bouclé 03 (45% cotton, 19% viscose, 15% wool, 13% acetate, 8% nylon).
- Barnum Bouclé 24 (45% cotton, 19% viscose, 15% wool, 13% acetate, 8% nylon)
- Kvadrat - Fiord 2 (92% virgin wool - worsted, 8% nylon)
- Kvadrat - Hallingdal 65 (70% virgin wool, 30% viscose)
The seat is 70 cm wide, 81 cm deep and 71 cm high. The seat height is 41 cm.
