The designer chairs of the same name are the result of the following considerations by designer Hee Welling: Seating should be created that works according to the motto "form follows function". For this, an archetypal chair design was consulted, reduced to the essentials and at the same time improved its functionality.

Material choice and processing
When it comes to material, Hay resorts to galvanized and powder-coated steel. As a result, the Hee Dining Chair can even be used as an outdoor chair.
The fact that the chair is made of a single material has another reason: to avoid unnecessary and environmentally harmful transport routes. It also simplifies the recycling process.
