Less is more: Hal RE Tube armchair by Vitra

Its simple look with the simple base and the rounded seat shell make the Hal RE Tube chair by Vitra a perfect conference chair that easily complements almost any ambience.

The Hal Chair Collection

Unusual designs can be combined less well with existing furnishings than plain and simple designs. This is also how Jasper Morrisons sees it and has designed a collection with the Hal chairs, which is characterised by clear and contemporary shapes and multifunctional seat shells.

New in the Hal family are the RE models, which raise the collection to a contemporary level and userecycled plastic from household waste for the seat shells. This causes fewer climate-damaging emissions compared to original plastic and consumes less energy.

Jasper Morrison - Designer

The designer Jasper Morrison lives and works in London and Tokyo. He describes his work himself as "super normal " - because instead of unusual shapes, colours and materials, he focuses on the reinterpretation of tried-and-tested things and the further development of familiar solutions. He has been working with Vitra since 1989.

Material and format

The Hal RE Tube armchair consists of a seat shell made of recycled, through-dyed polypropylene and a frame made of chromed tubular steel. The armrest is always in the same colour as the seat shell. The chair can be stacked 6 high on the floor and on the stacking trolley.

It is 61.5 cm wide, 49 cm deep and 79 cm high. The seat height is 43 cm.
