Expressive: Hal RE Armchair Wood from Vitra
The interestingly shaped seat shell with armrests dominates the expression of the Hal RE Armchair. The appealing design is complemented by four wooden legs, which give the chair a special charm.
The Hal chair collection
Unusual designs are less easy to combine with existing furnishings than plain and simple designs. Jasper Morrisons also sees it this way and with the Hal chairs has designed a collection that is characterised by clear and contemporary shapes and multifunctional seat shells.
New to the Hal family are the RE models, which take the collection to a contemporary level and use recycled plastic from household waste for the seat shells. This causes fewer climate-damaging emissions compared to original plastic and consumes less energy.
Jasper Morrison - Designer
Designer Jasper Morrison lives and works in London and Tokyo. He describes his work as "super normal " - because instead of unusual shapes, colours and materials, he focuses on reinterpreting the tried and tested and further developing familiar solutions. He has been working with Vitra since 1989.
Material and format
The seat shell is made of recycled, through-dyed polypropylene and is available in various colours. Due to the composition of the recycled material, the various colours have fine speckles . The seat shells are therefore somewhat reminiscent of a natural material and, especially in combination with the characteristic wooden legs of the HAL RE Wood Armchair, createa homely expression.
The base frame is made of wood and is available in natural oak, dark oak or black walnut. The wood comes from Western Europe and/or Poland in the case of oak and from the USA in the case of walnut.
The chair is 62 cm wide, 52 cm deep and 79.5 cm high. The seat height is 43.5 cm. The height of the armrests is 67.2 cm.

toller Sitzkomfort, gute Höhe, bequeme Armlehne
Der Hal Wood Armchair von Vitra ist ein hervorragender Stuhl, der nicht nur gut aussieht, sondern durch die abgerundeten Armauflagen auch sehr bequem ist! Die Sitzhöhe von 46 cm passt an alle heute gängige Tische, was beim kleinen Bruder Vitra Hal Wood mit nur 43 cm leider nicht der Fall ist! Mindernd ist nur, dass der Stuhl - wie alle Vita-Produkte- überteuert ist, denn das verbaute Material und ähnliches Design ist (wie bei anderen Firmen) für weniger Geld erhältlich. Hier wird der große Name leider mitbezahlt!
