Rediscovered treasure: Richard Lampert armchair H57 by Herbert Hirche
In 2010, this treasure was rediscovered by the Richard Lampert design team in the private home of cult designer Herbert Hirche The H57 armchair is a stroke of luck! It was the prototype armchair for the famous "Interbau 1956" exhibition. No wonder it was included in the Richard Lampert collection.
You can order the extravagant armchair in the original velvet green cover, but there are also various other versions. Sera, for example, is a real fabric dream, which is made of 94% wool. The manufacturer is rohi, which has all its premium fabrics made in Germany. Even aeroplanes have had the pleasure of using Sera. Dear Hallingdal? You can also order the H57 armchair online in this fabric variant. Hallingdal comes from the Danish manufacturer Kvadrat. Please note that the suede leather quickly develops a patina as known from suede jackets, which gives the chair that certain something.
Important designer of the 60s: Herbert Hirche
Looking at the design works of Herbert Hirche, it is hard to believe that some of these modern pieces of furniture were designed many decades ago. The bar trolley, for example, dates from 1956! After an apprenticeship as a carpenter at the Bauhaus in Dessau and Berlin, where Hirche studied under Mies van der Rohe and Wassily Kandinsky from 1930 to 1933, Hirche worked as a freelance architect and designer. Hirche is one of the most important architects and designers of the 1950s and 1960s. With the new edition of these classics, Richard Lampert contributes to the immortality of designers like Herbert Hirche. On the occasion of Herbert Hirche's 100th birthday in 2010, some pieces of furniture, including the famous bar trolley, have been given a new lease of life.
