Opal glass: Globo Cesta pendant lamp by Santa & Cole
A large opal sphere in front of a glass factory was the inspiration for the Globo Cesta by Santa & Cole during a walk through Barcelona in the 1960s. Designer Miguel Milá picked it up and made it the centre of his design. In its shape, the luminaire is reminiscent of traditional lanterns found on houses along coasts or on open bright terraces.
The opal glass glows in its colour by itself and at the same time retains the elegance of a contemporary classic even when switched off.
