Focused on the essentials: Generic A armchair by Kartell
Philipp Starck's idea behind the Generic A was to concentrate on the essentials that ultimately make up a chair. Thus, the chair simply consists of four legs, a backrest and two curved armrests. And despite this simple design, the armchair looks perfectly beautiful. Since all elements are ergonomically shaped, the stackable Generic A offers best seating comfort. Kartell has the Generic A chair manufactured. The design chair made of polypropylene is not only suitable for interiors, but also for use in outdoor gastronomic areas, in the garden, on the terrace and on the balcony!
Small tip: We also have the Generic A chair in a set of two in other colour variations, which can also be combined with each other!
Design by Philippe Starck
The name Philippe Starck should be familiar to everyone. With Juicy Salif, for example, the French exceptional talent has designed the probably most famous juice squeezer in the world for Alessi and also the famous Masters chairs and Ghost chairs by Kartell come from his pen. Incidentally, Philippe Starck gets his best ideas on an island, where he devotes himself entirely to his creativity in a rudimentarily furnished fisherman's hut.
