Formakami: This name stands for a new lighting collection, which - designed by Jaime Hayon - has found its place in the assortment of the Danish manufacturer andtradition Copenhagen. Here you have the possibility to order Formakami in the version JH5 online.
Asian design – Scandinavian highlights
The model for Jaime Hayons Formakami pendant lights is the classic Chinese lamplight. The JH5 version is most reminiscent of the cultic lanterns because of its bulbous shape.
andtradition Copenhagen has selected rice-paper as the material for the lamps. As with most Asian lamps, however, the lampshade is not red, but bright ivory. This gives the balloon-shaped luminaire a touch of Scandinavian coolness, which is underlined by the fitted black-stained oak rings.
100 % handmade
Each Formakami design lamp is made by hand and is therefore unique. As already indicated, Jaime Hayon has designed several Formakami lights - three in number.
