Choice of material and care
Here in the online shop, you can order the Fiona stool in an oak or teak version. Both oak and teak are very high-quality types of wood that Skagerak by Fritz Hansen sources exclusively from sustainably managed forests.
Both versions are supplied in an untreated natural wood finish. To increase the durability of the wood and to maintain it, we recommend treating it with natural soap.
Oak wood
This solid, stable type of wood has high dimensional stability and wear resistance. Oak is a popular furniture wood due to its even grain.
Teak wood
Originating from South East Asia, teak is durable and hard. Thanks to its naturally high oil content, teak is very resistant to rot and fungal attack. If you intend to use your Fiona stool mainly outdoors, we recommend the teak version.
