Designer George Nelson has made it his mission to bring modern design into American private spaces. In the course of this he created numerous designer pieces: from lamps to clocks to other home accessories.
The Fan clock was created at this time - but it was not produced in series for a long time. Now Vitra revives the design and offers the Fan clock in warm cherry wood.
Design
The design of the Fan Clock wall clock is sophisticated: the dial is composed of twelve tapered cherry tree elements that blend together in three dimensions. This gives the wall clock an impressive depth effect.
It is rumored that George Nelson was inspired by the classic fan - but these are just guesses. One thing is certain, that the one clock is a special kind and breathes life into every room.
