Have you ever heard of post-consumer plastic? In Germany, almost 6 million tons of plastic waste are produced every year - that's an extreme amount. All plastic waste that is not used to produce another product is referred to as post-consumer plastics. At around 5 million tonnes, this is almost all plastic waste.
The situation is not much better in Denmark either. Houe has decided to fight these mountains of garbage and create something meaningful out of them. The manufacturer's Falk collection is the world's first chair series made of post-consumer plastic directly from Danish household waste!
Visually, the Falk chair convinces with a light frame and its organic shape, which gives the chair a recognizable personality. The seating comfort resulting from the soft and inviting form is also not to be despised.
Houe – Design from Denmark
Houe was founded in 2007 as a Danish design house. The focus of the manufacturer is to combine comfort and design in its products. They are manufactured in established factories with which Houe has been working closely for several years. Every detail of the furniture and materials is taken care of. Houe offers indoor and outdoor furniture that combines design, price and Scandinavian craftsmanship.
Material and size
The frame of the Falk chair consists of a powder-coated, black 4-leg construction. The seat is made of plastic, which is made from recycled plastic waste.
The design chair is 58.5 cm wide, 53 cm deep and 83 cm high.
