Description
For the little ones: Eva tea light holder set of 2 from Bjorn Wiinblad
These tea lights in a set of 2 are sure to turn heads. With their delicate decorations, they not only make tea lights shine more beautifully, but are also wonderful decorative elements even without a light source.
Designer Bjørn Wiinblad
Bjørn Wiinblad was born in Copenhagen in 1918. He showed a pronounced talent for inventing and drawing imaginative worlds from an early age. He initially began an apprenticeship as a typographer at the age of 17, but quickly realised that his interest lay in a career as an artist. After his apprenticeship, he went straight to the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, where he chose to specialise in graphic design. Wiinblad's style was anything but Danish, because where functionalism was in vogue at the time, the designer chose a more playful approach with ruffled motifs, lots of colours and romantic universes. He also devoted himself to drawing on ceramics, for which he is known today. in 1957, Wiinblad became head of design at the well-known German porcelain brand Rosenthal.
Material and format
The set is made of ceramic. One tealight holder measures H 6 cm x W 6.5 cm x D 6 cm and has a diameter of 6.5 cm.
