The order was to design the hotel builduing and the interior in every detail.

Now an absolute and unforgettable classic. Arne Jacobsen was the first to use a new technique -
A solid plastic shell with cold foam padding.

The Egg can be ordered in many different fabric and leather qualities and colours

Following fabric and leather upholstery can be ordered:

Fame: 95 % wool , 5 % polyamide
Tonus: 90 % worsted wool, 10 % Helanca
Hallingdal: 70 % pure wool, 30 % viscose
Divina / Divina Melange: 100 % pure wool

Leather Basic:
Chrome-tanned, slightly glossy, treated and textured surface with high durability.
High lightfastness. Thickness 1-1.2 mm

Leather Classic:
Chrome-tanned, treated, distinctive grain and durable surface. High lightfastness.
Thickness 1.4-1.6 mm.

Rustic leather:
Natural tanning, completely chrome-free aniline leather without protective coating
with slight impregnation and visible natural features.
Will get lighter when used and develops a patina. Thickness 1.2-1.4 mm.

Leather Elegance:
Natural & chrome-tanned aniline leather, full grain, slightly structured and impregnated.
Will get lighter when used and develops a patina.
Thickness about 1.4 - 1.6 mm.

Upon ordering the armchair it is manufacturered especially for you in selected fabric or leather colours. Depending on which fabric or leather upholstery and order inflow of the manufacturer delivery time is about 6 - 8 weeks. Fritz Hansen offers a Quick Ship Program for selected colours and upholstery.

frame:
The plastic shell is padded with cold foam resting on an aluminum foot
with satin polished pipe.

mechanics:
The chair is tilt- and rotatable and can also be ordered with a return mechanism.
