Limited Edition: Eames Elephant stool in dark green from Vitra
In 1945, the design couple Ray and Charles Eames developed a toy elephant made of plywood, which did not go into series production at the time. It was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art and is now part of the Eames family archive. Vitra has been producing the wooden version in series since 2018.
Now in a very special colour: the world-famous classic is now available in a dark shade of green for the Eames Special Collection 2023. The collection is limited until 31.01.24.
Charles and Ray Eames - design duo
The Eames couple are among the most important personalities in the field of design in the 20th century. In addition to designing furniture, they also made films, took photographs and put together exhibitions. Vitra is the only authorised manufacturer of Eames products for Europe and the Middle East.
Material and format
The Elephant is made of moulded plywood with a top veneer in green-stained ash wood. It is 41 cm wide, 78.5 cm deep and 41.5 cm high.
