Discreet: È wall lamp by Kartell
The design is reduced and yet noble, the application possibilities versatile. The É wall lamp with its pleated polycarbonate shade is and remains a perennial favourite. It looks more playful in the transparent versions, where the diffuser provides sparkling light reflections. It makes a more striking impression in the opaque versions in black and white, when a defined light zone is created. Designer Ferruccio Laviani
Ferruccio Laviani first started to learn the trade of a violin maker, but broke off the apprenticeship to study architecture and design at the polytechnic in Milan. By 1983, he had already worked for the designer Michele De Lucci and later became his partner. in 1991, he finally went into business for himself and celebrated a great success with Kartell's trade fair appearance at the Salone internazionale del mobile. In the following years, he developed, among others, the famous ceiling lamp Fly and the popular night table lamp Battery.
