It was founded in 1976 by Jesper and Vibeke Panduro, who live in the northern harbour town of Aalborg. Skagerak by Fritz Hansen is the name of a strait that connects Denmark with its Scandinavian neighbours Sweden and Norway. It was a decisive factor in the development of the Nordic region.
