Designer Isamu Noguchi
Isamu Noguchi was born in Los Angeles in 1904 as the son of a Japanese poet and an American writer. He studied at Columbia University and at the Leonardo da Vinci Art School. Isamu Noguchi was a versatile artist and designer whose life and work in the most diverse cultural circles were reflected in his artistic creations. He is regarded as a universal talent and designed sculptures, furniture, lamps and even stage sets. His sculptural style is particularly evident in pieces such as the Noguchi Coffee Table by Vitra.
Material and format
The table consists of a tabletop made of laminated wood with a hard surface and a base made of black lacquered cast iron and chromed steel wire. It is available in two diameters 90 or 121 cm and 72.5 cm high.
