Carpet design at its best: the Spanish manufacturer GAN
Actually, the traditional Spanish company GAN, which was founded in 1941, specialised exclusively in carpets. But in the mid-1980s, the competition in this field became increasingly fierce. GAN realised that a rethink was necessary and went for a new design. It was modern and contemporary and was created by professional designers. The surprise effect was guaranteed for them in this traditional metier on an international level, even if it still took some time before customers dared to try this completely new carpet style. But in the mid-90s, the new direction became a success story that continues to this day. Even in the rapidly growing outdoor sector, GAN was there in time to expand its product range. Preserving traditional craftsmanship is particularly important to the company: all products are handmade in India, always hand in hand with experts in craftsmanship and design. A strong sense of style, tradition and modernity characterises GAN's high-quality products.
Material and format
The fibres of the Diamond design outdoor rug by the Spanish manufacturer Gan are made of 100% recycled PET. It is available in the colours wine-orange, blue-brown, pink-yellow, nude-petrol and green-grey as well as in the sizes 170 cm x 220 cm, 200 cm x 260 cm and 300 cm x 390 cm and weighs 4.9 kg, 6.8 kg and 15.2 kg respectively. It is durable and easy to clean and fulfils the desire for sustainability.
