Aspiring is probably the most fitting description for the design of the Morph wooden chair, and that on two levels of meaning. On the one hand, quite literally, because the design chair takes on a special posture. It seems as if it has a standing leg and a playing leg - the direction points upwards and conveys the impression of ascent and progress. On the other hand, the simple design is an up-and-coming classic, which will continue to assert its place in modern furnishings even after decades.
Thanks to its petite shape, this chair requires very little space and is therefore ideal for urban living spaces where space is often at a premium. Whether in small flats, lofts or city flats - the Morph wooden chair fits effortlessly into the limited space. Its space-saving design makes it possible to accommodate several chairs in one room without it looking cluttered. Design Studio Formstelle
The design studio Formstelle was founded in 2001 by Claudia Kleine and Jörg Kürschner. The two take on tasks in the fields of interior design, product design and corporate identity. For all points, the focus is also on the interrelationship between people and spatial perception. This is how authentic, unique and precisely coordinated designs and concepts are created. An in-house model-making workshop enables a hands-on approach to the subject during the design process.
Material and format
The Morph chair is made of wood and available in oak, stained oak and American walnut. The frame is solid wood and the seat shell is made of veneered moulded wood. The surface of the frame is treated with natural oils and waxes, and the stained version has a matt lacquer finish. This version is fully upholstered and can be chosen in different covers.
The chair is 44 cm wide, 48 cm deep and 80 cm high. The seat height is 48.5 cm.
