Michael Rösing
Michael Rösing - his motto: "to be more functional, original and beautiful than what is already there"
The German designer Michael Rösing was born in 1962. After training as a carpenter, he studied architecture in Cologne. Here he met his later wife Beate Friedhoff, with whom he built up his company Radius. Michael Rösing's first designs were based on personal needs, were simply constructed and sold well right away.
For Radius, Michael Rösing designed extraordinary products for both indoor and outdoor use. His classically beautiful fireplaces (e.g. Floor Flame or Wall Flame), fireplaces and Letterman II mailboxes enrich every house and garden. However, Michael Rösing was still looking for further challenges and so he founded the company Absolut Litghing together with his friend and graphic designer Joachim Kliesen.
Here they develop lamps with the highest standards of design, workmanship and function, e.g. the desk lamps, which captivate with their restrained elegance and are reduced to the essential in a filigree way. Also the different illuminated globes are an absolute "eye-catcher".
