Soft elegance: Swan Sofa by Fritz Hansen

Like the Egg armchair and the 3300 series, the Swan Sofa was designed by Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. In 2000, it was reintroduced into the Fritz Hansen collection.

Contrary to the clear lines and edges of the 3300 series, the Swan Sofa captivates with soft curves and a three-dimensional, organic look. The armrests are reminiscent of the wings of a swan.

The timelessly elegant designer furniture fits wonderfully into many interior styles and becomes a highlight in living and lounge areas.

Designer Arne Jacobsen

Arne Jacobsen already worked together with Fritz Hansen in 1934. But it was not until 1952 that he made his breakthrough with "the ant", which was followed by the well-known and popular Series 7 in 1955. Arne Jacobsen was extremely productive both as a designer and as an architect. He designed the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen at the end of the 1950s and developed the Egg, the Swan and the Series 3300 for this project.

Material and format

The Swan sofa measures W 144 x D 74 x H 79 cm. The seat height is 40 cm and the armrest height 58 cm. The shaker frame of the sofa is made of satin polished aluminium. The shell is made of a synthetic material and upholstered with cold foam. For the feet, you can choose between normal glides made of black plastic and plastic glides with felt underlay.

The designer furniture is available in many different fabric and leather qualities and in various colour versions. Can't find the cover you're looking for? We will be happy to provide you with a non-binding offer on request!
