Non-slip: cushion for Timbur garden bench from Carl Hansen
The seat cushion for the Timbur garden bench was designed to provide extra comfort. The padded cushion is covered with Agora Life textile, a weather-resistant and recycled material. It is designed with visible stitching that matches the width of the wooden slats for a clean and balanced design expression. The textile is fluoride-free and highly resistant.
About the designer
Gudmundur Ludvik was born in 1970 and grew up in Iceland. Even as a child he was very curious and always wanted to know how things were put together. His love and appreciation for wood and good craftsmanship led Ludvik to train as a carpenter, and after working in construction for several years, he continued his studies at the Icelandic Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied sculpture. As part of his training, Ludvik moved to Copenhagen in 1999 to study furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy. Shortly after completing his studies, he founded his own studio, Studio Gudmundur Ludvik, which offers him the opportunity to work in a variety of ways within the fields of crafts, art and design.
