The sofa is characterised by low proportions with a gently sloping backrest and a seat with supportive armrests.
Crate - A collection that inspires
The Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld designed the Crate Collection in 1934 to utilise surplus wooden transport crates. In a collaboration between Rietveld Originals and HAY, the Crate Collection has been relaunched. The simplicity and spatial design reflect the designer's architectural principles - the furniture offers functionality and comfort without taking up space.
Material and shape
The Crate Lounge Sofa is made of solid pine wood and is finished with a water-based lacquer in various colour options. The lounge is 64.70 cm high, 134.50 cm wide and 77 cm long.
