Award-winning: Coupé Table lamp Table lamp by Oluce
Designed in 1967 by the Italian architect Joe Colombo, the Coupé table lamp has been inspiring people with its functional design ever since. The semi-cylindrical dome serves as a lampshade and can be individually directed upwards, downwards and sideways to emit direct light. The designer lamp won the"International Design Award" in 1968 and is part of the permanent exhibition of the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York as well as the Munich design museum"Neue Sammlung".
Groundbreaking Italian Design by Joe Colombo
Although he died far too early at the age of only 41, Joe Colombo nevertheless left the design world a great legacy. Where other designers shine with genteel restraint, Colombo "let it rip" in creative terms. Nevertheless, Colombo never disregarded function . The result: futuristic design and abstractness, paired with function.
Material and format
The base of the lamp is made of lacquered metal. The stem is chrome-plated and the adjustable reflector is made of lacquered aluminium. The lamp base measures 23 cm in diameter. The height of the lamp is 40 cm.
