Cork pop: Corker stool by ClassiCon
You can already guess it from the name - the outlines of a bottle cork served as inspiration for the architectural office Herzog & de Meuron for the design of this unusual designer piece. They have also continued this line with the material and used durable cork for Corker.
Whether as an additional seat or as a side table - the timeless design and functional character make Corker an all-round talent in any living environment. In addition, the stool delights with its pleasant velvety feel and the calming, earthy colour nuances.
ClassiCon - Classic Contemporary Design
Good furniture is like a good friend, so they say. ClassiCon has made it its business to produce just this kind of furniture - and has been doing so since 1990, when ClassiCon emerged from the traditional Vereinigte Werkstätten in Munich. Sole owner and managing director Oliver Holy has been shaping the family business with his passion for design, architecture and art for around 20 years now.
At ClassiCon, you will only find pieces of furniture that are characterised by the courage to be new and innovative and that are inherent in the tension between the classic and the modern. Herzog & de Meuron
Behind this name are the two architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron. In 1978 they founded their office of the same name in Basel, which today comprises an international team of almost 500 employees and implements projects all over the world, ranging in scale from private houses to urban planning.
Material and format
The designer stool is made of cork in Portugal. This cork comes from local, sustainable forestry and is also 100% recyclable.
