Windsor Furniture Meets Italian Lightness: Comeback Rocking Chair by Kartell 

At first glance, it could also come from an 18th century British town house. A closer look reveals Urquiola's elegant, modernised style. The eye-catching backrest, braced with seven rods, and the ergonomically shaped seat shell, cast in one piece, provide excellent seating comfort. However, the runners of the imposing Comeback rocking chair were not also made of solid-coloured plastic, but of solid ash wood stained on oak. 

Design by Patricia Urquiola 

The Spanish-born designer now lives and works in Milan, where she graduated in architecture from the Polytechnic in 1989. Afterwards, she worked as an assistant to Achille Castiglioni and was an employee of the De Padova studio, where she developed furniture together with Vico Magistretti. in 2001, Urquiola opened her own studio for product design, interior design and architecture. Her furniture designs are characterised by material diversity and colourful designs and adorn the product portfolio of renowned manufacturers, including Alessi, Cassina, Driade, Flos, Gan, Kartell, Rosenthal and Verywood.

The Italian company Kartell is one of the most dazzling brands in the world of design. The beautifully shaped products made in Milan combine industrial know-how with an unusual design language, which has earned the manufacturer a great reputation on the international stage. It is above all the famous plastic furniture that has already achieved cult status. 

Material and format 

The Comeback rocking chair with a seat made of thermoplastic technopolymer and legs made of ash wood is 58 cm wide, 58 cm deep and 100 cm high. 

It has a seat height of 44 cm and a seat depth of 41.5 cm. The armrest height is 64 cm.
