Windsor furniture meets Italian lightness: Comeback chair by Kartell 

A traditional colonial piece of furniture paired with Urquiola's elegant, modern style: the eye-catching backrest braced with seven rods and the ergonomically shaped seat shell cast in one piece provide excellent seating comfort. The legs of the imposing Comeback chair were not also made of plastic, but of solid beech or ash wood. 

Design by Patricia Urquiola 

The Spanish-born designer now lives and works in Milan, where she graduated in architecture from the Polytechnic in 1989. Afterwards, she worked as an assistant to Achille Castiglioni and was an employee of the De Padova studio, where she developed furniture together with Vico Magistretti. in 2001, Urquiola opened her own studio for product design, interior design and architecture. Her furniture designs are characterised by material diversity and colourful designs and adorn the product portfolio of renowned manufacturers, including Alessi, Cassina, Driade, Flos, Gan, Kartell, Rosenthal and Verywood.
