A simple and functional design created with great attention to detail by designer Hans J. Wegner - the CH36 chair. It clearly shows the influence of the American Shaker furniture principles of the 1960s.
The legs of the chair taper towards the floor, creating an elegant appearance. The backrest is significantly more curved in the upper section in order to optimise back support. The hand-woven seat adds the finishing touch to the chair.

As one of the most creative, innovative and productive Danish designers, Wegner is often referred to as the master of the chair. During his lifetime, he designed more than 500 chairs, many of which are masterpieces. The legendary Wishbone Chair is probably one of his most famous designs and has been in continuous production since 1950. Wegner's focus as a designer was on bringing the soul of the furniture to the outside world through its simplicity and functionality.
Material and format
The chair is made of oak or beech wood in different versions. It is 52 cm wide, 48 cm deep and 81 cm high. The seat height is 45 cm.
