Icon: CH24 Wishbone Chair
The CH24 Wishbone Chair by Carl Hansen, also known as Y-Chair, is an icon amongst chairs.
Created by Hans J. Wegner in 1950 the classy wooden chair is still very popular today.
Two aspects make the Wishbone Chair rather distinctive: for one its characteristic design with the
personal touch, the Ypsilon in the backrest and for the other the quality guaranteed by highest
standards of craftmanship.
The seat is made of 120 m sturdy paper yarn which is attached to the frame by hand. In total a hundred
steps are needed until the Y-Chair can leave the factory of Carl Hansen & Søn.
