The variant of the popular CH24 by Carl Hansen & Søn with a matt finish - as with the original, the Soft Edition also impresses with its clear and characteristic expression. The matt finish additionally supports the timeless and elegant look of the classic. The care of the chair is also made much easier by the matt finish.
When developing the CH24, designer Hans J. Wegner conceived the backrest and armrest in one piece. The characteristic Y-shaped backrest ensures stability and is the eponym of the Wishbone Chair. More than 100 work steps are required to produce this classic chair, most of which are carried out by hand. For the production of the hand-woven seat alone, an experienced craftsman needs about one hour to make a seat surface out of approx. 120 m of paper cord to create a seat with impressive durability and stability.
Designer Hans J. Wegner
As one of the most creative, innovative and also productive Danish designers, Wegner is often called the master of the chair . This is because he designed more than 500 chairs during his lifetime, among which many masterpieces can be found. The legendary Wishbone Chair is probably one of his most famous designs and has been produced continuously since 1950. Wegner's focus as a designer was to bring out the soul of the furniture through its simplicity and functionality.

The Wishbone Chair in the Soft Edition is available in ten matt colour finishes. The colours used are water-based and non-toxic .
The chair is 55 cm wide, 51 cm deep and 76 cm high. The seat height is 45 cm.
- NOTE: Due to the high quality, handmade weave, one of the chair legs may appear shorter as the weave is very strongly bound. This will self-adjust after about a month of normal sitting as the weave loosens. -
