Santa & Cole has reinterpreted the iconic Cesta table lantern according to a design by Miguel Milá: The new Cesta Metálica lamp is not mounted on cherrywood legs but on a metal frame.
Cool elegance
It is hard to believe how much influence materials have on the appearance of a designer object. Thus, Cesta Metálica appears cool and modern - exactly the right thing for individualists who appreciate a simple yet elegant interior.
The white opal glass shade, which is clearly in the foreground as a luminaire in Cesta Metálica, perfectly matches the shiny metal base.
Cesta and Cestita
Cesta is the large version of the table lamp designed by Miguel Milá in 1962. With a height of 42 cm and a diameter of 35 cm, the lamp belongs to the larger models of its kind.
On large sideboards, Cesta Metálica unfolds its full effect, whereas it is almost too big for the bedside table. Here we recommend its little sister, Cestita Metálica, which you can also order here in our online shop.
Technical features
The light source is not included in the delivery. Santa & Cole recommends either an LED lamp with 6 W, a fluorescent lamp with 11 W or an incandescent lamp with max. 40 W. Please make sure that the bulb you buy is dimmable - Cesta Metálica has an integrated dimmer.
