What was actually turned as a wooden model is now produced as handmade Ceramic Containers. Designer Alexander Girard designed the shapes, which are supposed to remind of apothecary jars, board game stones and hatter's tools, as early as 1952. Girard originally studied architecture, but in the course of his career he worked as a furniture, graphic, exhibition and interior designer. Textile design was a focal point of his work.
