Elegant: Candela table lamp by Astep
Candela, designed by Francisco Gomez Paz, continues the long tradition of elegant Scandinavian flame lamps. As the first product by Astep, Candela is a manifesto that deals with the development of design and technology as well as respect for the environment.
Candela is powered by bioethanol, a clean, natural and renewable fuel made from plants. It generates its own electricity to provide cosy LED lighting and charge mobile devices via USB.
Astep - Luminaires with Generation
The company Astep was founded by Alessandro Sarfatti, the son of Riccardo Sarfatti, the founder of Luceplan and the grandson of Gino Sarfatti, the founder of Arteluce. The experience of three generations is now combined in the latest technology. At the same time, Astep stands for the admiration of timeless inventions. Because both Arteluce and Luceplan created one icon after the other, luminaires of inimitable beauty. Astep now creates new products for the home - objects that give digital technologies a better place in our domestic lives.
