The Boga ginger grater is made from matt 18/10 stainless steel. It measures 18.5 x 5.7 cm. The curved shape makes it particularly easy to turn the ginger into a fine puree. The designer

The idea for the unusual ginger grater came to designer Valerio Sommella in faraway Japan, in Tokyo to be precise. He spent hours in Kappabashi-dori, a street where one kitchen utensil shop follows the next. Travel souvenirs: graters of all kinds, from cheap to expensive, from small to large, made from a wide variety of materials.

Back in Milan, Valerio Sommella immediately set about designing a grater himself. The design grater owes its name 'Boga ' and its unconventional fish shape for ginger graters to the yellow-backed sea bream that the designer often caught on a fishing hook as a child.
