Birdy table lamp by Northern. Birdy is a desk lamp as in the book: in addition to a classic office lighting design, it is very movable. So you have the light where you need it. Not to mention the beautiful colours in which the design lamp comes along.
Design
Birdy is a lot older than it looks. It was in 1952 when a certain Norwegian designer named Birger Dahl designed the graceful lamp. The light series was then produced and sold by Sønnico, a Norwegian electricity company. Two years later, the lamp was awarded the gold medal at the Triennale in Milan. In 2013, Norwegian lighting manufacturer Northern Lighting reissued the Birdy luminaire.
Material and size
The two main ingredients of the Birdy designer lamp: steel and aluminum. The appearance of the frame depends on the colour chosen: the white and grey Birdy table lamps have a metallic look, for example, and the matt black lamp has a noble brass look.
Birdy is 43 cm high and 60 cm wide. The cable comes to a length of two meters. The manufacturer Northern recommends resorting to an LED bulb with 7 watt.
