Birdie's Nest: Birdie's Nest by Ingo Maurer
Flying free like a bird, that's what many people wish for. Also the Birdie creations by Ingo Maurer. Like all of the designer's designs, they are conceived with the maxim of reflecting the lightness of being.
The winged bulbs of the Birdie's Nest ceiling lamp seem almost alive and like a flock of birds streaming apart thanks to the flexible wire frame, which can be individually adjusted by the user.
All luminaire creations by Ingo Maurer look more like luminous works of art and are something very special. The qualified graphic designer has been designing lamps since 1966 and produces them himself. Even the pure light bulb has meaning for the artist: for Ingo Mauer, it represents the "ideal symbiosis of poetry and technology".
Processing
Birdie's Nest is made of a flexible metal frame, the wings of goose feathers and with ten low-voltage bulbs. A special halogen bulb is manufactured for the luminaire for Ingo Maurer GmbH.
