Jan Kurtz - German purism
Jan Kurtz founded his label in Affalterbach in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, in the mid-1990s. After initially designing primarily outdoor furniture, Jan Kurtz expanded his range to include design furniture and accessories for indoor use. Company founder and boss Jan Kurtz wants to develop designs that are integrated into the living and working environment of their owners in a functional and aesthetic way.
Material and format
The Batten Lounge collection is made of recycled teak. Irregularities caused by this are intentional. These include irregularities in the surface and plastically protruding wood fibres. The wood used has the Trees 4 Trees certificate.
The lounge sofa is 156 cm wide, 75 cm deep and 69 cm high. The seat height is 35 cm.
