Classic: Arne Jacobsen Station Table Clock by Rosendahl Timepieces
The Station table clock was already designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1939 and has lost nothing of its aesthetics since then. The classic dial and the appealing shape make the table clock a timeless object. It fits perfectly into every modern living environment and with snooze and light sensor it definitely offers everything that a modern alarm clock on the bedside table should be able to do.
Designer Arne Jacobsen
Arne Jacobsen was born in Copenhagen in 1902. Already as a child he showed a distinct talent for drawing. From this grew his desire to turn his talent into a profession and become a painter. His father, however, thought architect was a more suitable choice and so Jacobsen acquired the necessary know-how on his travels. An apprenticeship as a bricklayer in Germany and a series of study and drawing excursions to Italy formed the basis. If one wants to classify Arne Jacobsen, one can see him in the field of modern functionalism. His designs are influenced by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and the Bauhaus.
Material and Format
The table clock is made of tempered glass and plastic. It is 12 cm high and has a diameter of 11 cm. The clock is powered by 2x AA batteries. Please note that you only use alkaline batteries type AA (Mignon).
