Scandinavian sustainability: The Arbour Eco 3-seater sofa from Hay
Functional design combined with ecological aspects - the two designers Andreas Engesvik and Daniel Rybakken wanted to create something very special together. The Arbour Eco 3-seater sofa by Hay stands for long-lasting sofa with high quality, which counteracts the throwaway society. The individual parts can be repaired - without having to replace the whole sofa.
Awarded with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, the sofa features FSC-certified wood with water-based varnish for the frame and EU Ecolabel-certified upholstery. To keep any environmental impact of production low, products with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel are free from harmful chemicals such as phthalates, heavy metals, brominated flame retardants and fluorinated substances.
Hay - contemporary furniture from Denmark

Materials and shape
The frame is made of FSC-certified solid wood and plywood with elastic mesh. The wood has been treated with water-based varnish or oil and wax, depending on the variant. The legs are equipped with felt pads.
The upholstery is made of foam with a feather bed. The cushions as well as the cushion covers are removable and can be easily cleaned. The textiles are certified with the EU Ecolabel.
The sofa measures 220cm in width, 87cm in depth and 75cm in height. The seat height is 40cm and the seat depth is 60cm.
