Moon phase: Alchemy T table lamp by Catellani & Smith
Light and darkness are directly related to each other and one cannot be without the other. So the Alchemy T table lamp by Catellani & Smith is designed like the sun and the moon. Two discs, one bright and the other dark. Designer Giulia Archim explored with her design these opposing and yet always connected dimensions.
One disc is made of alabaster and illuminated by LEDs, while the other is made of brass. It can be moved on rails and can thus cover the illuminated disc or show it freely.
Catellani & Smith - Italian lighting creations
In 1989 Enzo Catellani founded the company Catellani & Smith in Italy. The appealing lamp creations are handmade and inspire with their inimitable lighting. The designer combines high-quality handicraft with current technical trends and thus brings forward-looking ideas to life. Thus he dealt with LED technology at a particularly early stage.
